Today, April 1, marked the first day that U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) would accept H-1B petitions for fiscal year 2009.
On Monday, April 14, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) conducted a computer-generated random selection process to select which of the 163,000 H-1B petitions filed within the permissible window for fiscal year 2009 would be rejected as falling outside the fiscal year cap of 65,000 visas.
